- Weekly clinics in general endocrinology and general diabetes, seeing the broad range of disorders in both specialities.
- Wide experience in the specialist management of the breadth of endocrine and diabetes from the common conditions to the very uncommon or rare conditions.
- Multidisciplinary specialist clinic for the management of patients with diabetic foot disease
- Clinical Director and Doctor for the Acute Medical Unit
- Very busy unit receiving all acute medical patients from A+E and general practice, 24hours a day.

Quality Improvement
- Lead for the Trust’s diabetes improvement collaborative
- Chair of the Trust’s Sepsis Collaborative leading on the oversight, governance and improvements in care for all inpatients with sepsis.
- Teaching and training for physician associates, medical students, Foundation Year Doctors and Specialist trainees.
- Authored papers in peer review journals on managing type 2 diabetes on insulin, the impact of diabetes and cardiovascular risk following an MI, the impact of growth hormone deficiency on cardiac function, managing testosterone replacement therapy and the impact of steroid treatment on coagulation.
Clinical Manager
- Clinical Director for Medicine since 2011.
- The accountable officer and senior doctor for all the large acute medical services – cardiology, respiratory, gastroenterology, elderly care, stroke, diabetes & endocrinology and acute medicine services.
